PDFika ("we", "our", or "us") is developed and operated by BarisTechApps. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the PDFika mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you create an account:

• First and last name, when provided during sign-up
• Email address associated with your account
• Password for email/password accounts, managed securely by Firebase Authentication — we never see your plain-text password
• Authentication provider details when you sign in with Google or Apple

2. How We Use Your Files

PDF files and documents you process through PDFika are transmitted to our server solely for the purpose of performing the requested operation (e.g. merge, split, compress). Files are processed in memory and are not permanently stored on our servers. Once processing is complete, the result is returned to your device and the file is deleted from our server.

3. AI Features

When you use the AI Summariser feature, the content of your PDF is sent to Google Gemini (a service by Google LLC) for processing. This transmission is subject to Google's privacy policy. We do not retain the content after the summary is generated.

4. Third-Party Services

• Firebase Authentication (Google LLC) — used for account management and login
• Google Sign-In / Sign in with Apple — used when you choose those login methods
• Google Gemini (Google LLC) — used for AI-powered PDF summarisation
• Apple App Store In-App Purchases / Google Play Billing — used for optional premium subscription purchases, depending on platform
• Google Drive — used only if you choose to connect Drive for backup or restore

5. Data Retention

Your account information and app-linked subscription records are retained until you delete your account. Files you process are not retained on our servers. Files stored within the app remain locally on your device unless you remove them, clear app data, or uninstall the app.

6. Data Security

All data transmitted between the PDFika app and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. Passwords are managed securely by Firebase Authentication.

7. Children's Privacy

PDFika is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.

8. Your Rights

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time from within the app. See our Account Deletion page for instructions.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision.
